The Dances
Do you want to dance?
CASACA members and their residents love the biannual dances. We have the Spring Fling and the Harvest Hoedown each year. The dances are usually held at VFW Post 8787 in North Austin and we cannot thank them enough for their support over the years.
The fee to participate in the dance is $30 per facility. Each home that attends is responsible for supplying food and drinks for residents, staff and volunteers associated with their home. Refreshments are provided for dance committee volunteers.
If you are interested in volunteering to coordinate the dances by being part of the dance committee, click on the volunteer link and let us know. You do not have to be a member of CASACA to be on the committee of one of our programs.
For those of you who may not have ever heard of our dances, let me be the first to tell you it is an amazing experience. The residents in attendance have stated that they love hearing music from their youthful days. It instills in them the desire to dance and to have fun once again. Many of the residents who are assisted by a wheelchair do not let that stop them from dancing. They get out on the dance floor with the rest of their friends and have a great time.
