A Dance to Remember 2024

A Dance to Remember is back! Come and dance with us on Thursday, November 7, 11am-2pm. Ben Hur Shriners Ballroom, Austin TX

We’re thrilled to announce the return of this wonderful event and excited to share a few of the details.

⭐ Residents will walk the red carpet into a beautifully decorated venue with formal table settings and decorations.

⭐ A live band will play songs from the 40s, 50s, 60s, covering a range of music genres. Residents can take to the dance floor or dance at their tables. Prizes will be awarded for best dancers.

⭐ Lunch will be served at the tables (options selected beforehand) with a choice of sandwiches and salads.

⭐ We’ll also have a raffle with a great selection of prizes, a Photo Booth and photographers recording the whole event.

FAQs

What is the registration fee?

Each community will pay a flat fee of $75. There is no additional fee. Thank you to our generous sponsor for making this possible.

How many residents can we bring?

Up to 10 residents (plus 1-2 staff). Each community can select up to 2 tables. Each table is a 60 inch round, with 6 chairs (or space for wheelchairs).
Depending on the mobility needs of your residents, the tables can comfortably accommodate 6.

It may be possible to add in an extra chair if needed.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is ample parking for cars and buses at the Ben Hur Shriners Ballroom.

Does the venue have accessible bathrooms?

Yes, there are two sets of accessible men’s and women’s bathrooms.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

No. Only food and drinks provided by our caterer can be consumed onsite. Residents should be on a regular or mech-soft diet.

How do we reserve a place?

To reserve your spot please fill out the registration form. You will receive an invoice for payment. Once payment has been made your spot is secured. Places are on a first-come basis, and cannot be guaranteed without payment.

Can residents dress up?

Yes, dressing up is encouraged but not essential. We want everyone to feel relaxed and comfortable.

Is this just for women?

No, everyone is welcome.

Do I need to be a CASACA member to attend?

Yes, the Dance is open to CASACA members only. If you are not currently a member please join and pay the membership fee.
